Jon Eisenberg is Senior Program Director, Computing Research, Technologies, and Systems at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Prior to joining the Academies, he was a AAAS Science, Engineering, and Diplomacy Fellow. He earned a Ph.D. in experimental high-energy physics from the University of Washington, Seattle.
His interests include the economic and societal impacts of computing research, responsible computing research, societal impacts and policy implications of computing, research cyberinfrastructure, cybersecurity, defense software acquisition, health IT, emergency management communications, and government IT modernization.
